While most companies go nuts trying to innovate in the smartphone world, there’s a very small segment of the market that is however still alive: the entry-level phones. And here’s where Samsung places their new Samsung Intensity II. The phone features a QWERTY slide keyboard and integration with Social Networks.
Sold exclusively in the USA for now, it also features a 2 Megapixel photocamera and bluetooth. The camera isn’t exactly great, but it’s enough to share with friends in the different social networks.

One of the most significant changes in the mobile industry was the introduction of the touchscreen. But Samsung still creates devices without touchscreen, and the E2550 is one of them.
The E2550, also called Monte Slider, has a 2″ display with the resolution of 120 x 160 pixels, while the photocamera features 1.3 Megapixels. It weights 86g and has an internal 12 MB memory, expandable with microSD cards. Also present are the social network integration, FM Radio, Mp3 player and bluetooth.
Price and availability still to be announced.

We’ve heard about the Gravity and Gravity T, but it’s the first time we hear about the Samsung
(yes, that’s the name:
). We wonder how people will actually get to pronounce the name of that model, but we digress. The three models were launched today with T-Mobile. They’re full QWERTY devices, made for the social networking and text messages, hence perhaps for a younger customer. Also the colorful design and the friendly user interface hints to that.

The Windows Phone 7 devices should start coming after summer in many shapes and forms. One of those currently testing the software is a Samsung prototype based on the Omnia i8910.
According to engadget, the Windows Phone 7 tests are going well and Microsoft’s employees are now starting to use phones featuring the OS. Obviously, the software still has a few bugs, but the fluidity and speed on the system seem more than well.
The hands-on gallery can be seen here. Enjoy!

All big names. Super AMOLED, AMOLED, LCD. But what’s the true diference between them? The guys from Techblog have made a comparative video with the Samsung Galaxy S (4″, 480 x 800 pixels and Super AMOLED), the HTC Desire (3.7″, 480 x 800 pixels, AMOLED) and the Sony Ericsson XPeria X10 (4″, 480 x 854 pixels, TFT LCD). The video shows the different displays even under sunlight, and it’s a good demonstration of what makes those displays different from one another.
Enjoy!

After launching the Samsung Wave, the first Bada smartphone, Samsung now announces the next two devices to feature their own OS: Samsung Wave 2 and Wave Pro. The Wave Pro differs from the Wave 2 simply due to the presence of a QWERTY keyboard.
The two smartphones are Quad Band EDGE (no 3G in that case) and also feature Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and a 3.2″ touchscreen display. Also featured are the 3 Megapixel photocamera GPS, 80 MB internal memory with microSD support up to 16 GB.
The interface will be the TouchWiz 3.0 with Bada’s social hubs. The Wave 2 and Wave Pro will be launched in Southeast Asia and Russia in August.

The Samsung Wave is the first device featuring Bada, Samsung’s own OS. We’ve managed to find the first unboxing video for the phone, together with the first impressions on the new OS.
It seems that Samsung has decided to create a bunch of applications and services around the OS in order to make it more complete. Bada follows that line of thought completely. As for the phone, the Wave measures 118 x 56 x 10.9mm and weighs 118g. It looks very elegant, and the display is a super AMOLED 3.3″ with the resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. Also the processor, an ARM Cortex A8 1Ghz, guarantees a smooth system, great video recording in HD, and the possibility of playing 3D games.
But we won’t be saying much more; instead, we’ll leave you to a few videos that feature the first impressions on the Samsung Wave with Bada. Enjoy!
