The new Alcatel One Touch XTRA was created for a fast access to social networks, featuring a physical QWERTY keyboard and a very clean design. The touchscreen display has the resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, while the photocamera has the resolution of 2 Megapixels.
The connectivity isn’t very fast, featuring just the EDGE protocol. Other features are the FM Radio, headphone jack and bluetooth. For now, the Alcatel One Touch XTRA is previewed to be launched only in the UK.

Girls probably know the Miss Sixty brand quite well, and perhaps to some, the news of a cellphone with that brand would be good news. And that’s what Alcatel is preparing, a special edition featuring the famous brand. There’s not much known in this sense, but the first images came after the FCC’s approval.
It seems to be, however, a clamshell with a photocamera, although the technical specifications aren’t yet known. Rumors said the cellphone will be launched first in the USA, however.

It’s common for us to see the touchscreen models being sold for very expensive prices, but Alcatel is trying to reach the entry-level market range with their new OT-707 model. It’s a device that measures 95 x 53 x 13mm and features a 2.3″ touchscreen display, with the resolution of 240×320 pixels and viewing more than 260.000 colors. The photocamera has the resolution of 1.3 Megapixels.
The technical specifications on this model aren’t very advanced, respecting the range in which it’s placed. The data connection is done through GPRS, it features a 10MB internal memory, expandable with microSD cards, and it also has an FM radio and multimedia player. The battery guarantees 8 hours in conversation and 350 hours in standby.
The price range on this model should stay around €100.

If you’re looking for an original cellphone that has a nostalgic feel to it, what would you say about this Legophone, apparently a cooperation between Alcatel and one of the world’s most famous toy company?
According to the pictures, published on the BoyGeniusReport blog, it seems that the cellphone will feature a base structure with the cellphone body and the screen, and it’ll be possible to place different covers in Lego shapes, to change colors and maybe also some of the phone’s features.
This is just a rumor for now, of course. If it turns out to be true, it’s likely to be an entry-level phone not featuring a lot of advanced things, but it’s certainly original.
