The Mobile World Congress shows us many new models from the big companies, but it also gives us small and interesting information, such as the launch of the Aava Mobile, that claims to be completely open source, contrarily to the competition. It features Android 2.1 and it’ll feature the MeeGo OS in the future, but it can also be customized in a hardware and design level.

The developers will be able to propose their own ideas for the manufacturing of a series of models. Aava seems sure that the community power will be a good point for sales as customers will have the phone they want. We’ll have to wait for the project to be developed to know more!
