Here’s the rumor: 3.7″ display, 1GHz processor (which is the minimum required for Windows Phone 7). These are the first details of a possible prototype being developed by HTC to feature Windows Phone 7. Under the screen, 3 touch-sensitive buttons and an 8 megapixel photocamera behind it.

Rumors also speak about some agreements with American carriers, but as most Windows Phone 7 devices currently “rumored”, there’s very little information about more technical specifications. The first rumors also point to the lack of the Sense interface from HTC: Windows Phone 7 doesn’t allow any UI to be applied on top of the default UI. We hope HTC manages to find a way to include it, as the Sense interface is one of the plus sides on HTC phones.

The updates on the Windows Phone 7 come slowly but surely these days. After the confirmation on Hardware partners (LG, Samsung, Dell, Asus and HTC), now Microsoft declares that Bing will be the only default search engine on Windows Phone 7.

According to the guys from Pocket-lint, who appear to have spoken to Greg Sullivan (Senior Product Manager from Microsoft), the search engine will be deeply integrated into the OS. No surprise there, really.

One of the key reasons on this decision seems to be the integration of “Tell me”, that allows users to click a button and give vocal commands to the search within the telephone and on the web.

While most companies go nuts trying to innovate in the smartphone world, there’s a very small segment of the market that is however still alive: the entry-level phones. And here’s where Samsung places their new Samsung Intensity II. The phone features a QWERTY slide keyboard and integration with Social Networks.

Sold exclusively in the USA for now, it also features a 2 Megapixel photocamera and bluetooth. The camera isn’t exactly great, but it’s enough to share with friends in the different social networks.

We’ve seen the BlackBerry Curve 9300 in a couple of images, and now the Vietnamese site Mainguyen has had the chance of trying the model, and made a video-review.

Unfortunately the review is in Vietnamese, so it’s hard to understand what they’re saying, but it’s interesting to see the device nonetheless, which seems to have a better design and the confirmation of some of the features such as the 3.2 Megapixel photocamera.

    Enjoy!

Here are more information about the BlackBerry Storm 3, build in order to use the BlackBerry OS 6.0. The Storm 3 seems to be nothing more than a reviewed and slightly improved version of the Storm 2, with a few modifications only.

Starting from the RAM, up to 512 MB to avoid interface and application problems. Then the photocamera, 5 Megapixels, and Wi-Fi update to 802.11n. Another thing to be looking for is the WebKit browser, hoping it will be ready for the BlackBerry OS 6.0 upon release, that is.

One of the most significant changes in the mobile industry was the introduction of the touchscreen. But Samsung still creates devices without touchscreen, and the E2550 is one of them.

The E2550, also called Monte Slider, has a 2″ display with the resolution of 120 x 160 pixels, while the photocamera features 1.3 Megapixels. It weights 86g and has an internal 12 MB memory, expandable with microSD cards. Also present are the social network integration, FM Radio, Mp3 player and bluetooth.

Price and availability still to be announced.

Not bad, don’t you think? Now we’ll have to wait for the launch of the first Blackberry featuring the new OS to test them live.

Finally, some more news about the new webkit browser have been found on the net. The new webkit browser will be available with the OS 6.0 from Blackberry, and we’ve managed to find a movie on youtube that shows the browser working on a Blackberry 9800.

Things seem to work rather well and the navigation seems smooth and fast, and the presence of tabs and the possibility of zooming can also be seen. Not bad.

Here we come again with more news about HTC and the partnership with Microsoft to launch Windows Phone 7 phones by the end of 2010. After the latest rumors, here’s somewhat of a confirmation, coming from spokesperson Eric Lin:

“I know that we’re working with Microsoft. I know that we have access to the OS, to the tools, so I have every reason to believe that we’re going to be there on day one”.

What remains to be seen is the meaning of “Day One”. In any case, we’ll be waiting for more news on the matter.
