During the weekend, a new Windows Phone 7 ROM has been revealed by XDA Developers, and together with it, they found interesting information. It seems that the ROM was identified as coming from a device called HTC Mondrian.

The forum members decided to study the ROM in a deeper level and reveal some interesting specifications, among which the image above that could probably be a rendering of the phone. This HTC Mondrian should have a 4.3″ display with the resolution of 480 x 800, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.3 Ghz QSD8650A/B (that supports UMTS and 3G CDMA) and a compass. It’s possible that it won’t feature a physical keyboard.

We’ll wait for more information, as usual.

More news from Sharp when it comes to the 3D MObile. Not too long ago, there was a presentation of a 3D Display for mobile phones, and now Sharp has announced a module that features a photo-videocamera capable of taking high definition pictures in 3D.

The module has two cameras, which work in synch and organized in a way to make possible for the user to take 3D pictures. It seems Sharp does believe in this market, and we’ll have to wait and see how it works. The first phones with the module will be available from July on, and a mass-manufacturing should start by the end of this year.

After Nokia and Google, now it’s Microsoft’s turn to release an application that allows Windows Mobile owners to use GPS navigation without any extra fees, at least for the main software.

Only available at the USA for now, the application calculates the route and gives vocal instructions, allowing the user to choose which roads to take in order to avoid paying tolls, for example. The update should be available through the mobile phone, by accessing the m.bing.com address.
