Samsung explains the difference between AMOLED and Super AMOLED
Samsung has released a video to explain the difference between the AMOLED and Super AMOLED displays, and also how they obtained the desired results.
Basically, during the manufacturing stages, with the Super AMOLED display, less materials are needed. Which translates into better brightness and a thinner display, which helps in creating slim phones. The Super AMOLED displays will also be available to other manufacturers to build their own smartphones.
