Windows Phone 7: three different models
Michael Kordahi and Andrew Coats, developers from Microsoft Australia, ahve explained in a podcast the decision of creating three different models for phones with Windows Phone 7 Series.
The first “chassis” would be a “big touchscreen” phone. It’s a touch-only device, with a 1Ghz processor and a graphic-dedicated processor. The second model will have a physical slide keyboard and touchscreen, similarly to the Palm Treo. The third could be a candybar, but there were no details revealed about it.
Last year, some specifications were revealed, about what now seems to be the Windows Mobile 7 Chassis 1, but that back then were thought to belong to the rumored Microsoft Pink-Zune phone.
