Google’s Nexus One finally launched
After so many rumors, we can confirm that the Nexus One actually exists and was launched. Google’s phone, however, is only available in the USA for now, and it’ll be available in Europe soon, but only in the UK. The design is not the most modern out there, and it’s very classic, but behind it, we can find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz processor with 512 MB of RAM. The internal memory features 512 MB and expandable with microSD cards.
The Nexus One seems to be the first of a long series of Google smartphones. It obviously features the OS Android 2.1, a 3.7″ AMOLED display, touchscreen and with the resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The photocamera has 5 Megapixels and LED flash. It also features the A-GPS, accelerometer, distance sensor, stereo bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The price for now is $179 in the US with a two-year contract, or $529 without any contract. It is only been sold online with Google Checkout and it should cost around €450 in Europe.
